After our years of being here, we’re still surprised by how much goes on around the bay once the winter season starts to fill in. One event we have circled on the calendar is the Punta Mita International Jazz Festival. It’s now in its fourth year and runs Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14, 2026.
Hannah and I have never been, so this year will be our first. We’ll be there Saturday the 14th. Friday has a four-time Grammy winner on the bill, but it also happens to be Friday the 13th, and I’m far too superstitious to take that chance. We’ll leave Friday to the braver crowd.
Jazz on the beach at Pacífico Beach Club
The festival is held at Pacífico Beach Club, inside the Punta Mita community. You’re seated outdoors with the Pacific a few steps away, dinner is served, and the first set starts at 6:30, right around sunset. The crowd is much smaller than at a typical concert, so you can actually hear the music and talk with your table between sets, and nobody is fighting for a spot near the stage.
Who’s playing
Friday’s headliner is the Eliane Elias Quartet. Eliane is a four-time Grammy winner whose music blends jazz with Brazilian rhythms, and she takes the stage at 8:00. Saxophonist Marion Meadows opens the night at 6:30, and the Rahn Brothers play at 7:15.
Saturday starts with saxophonist Jessy J at 6:30, followed by vocalists Chris Walker and Rebecca Jade at 7:15. BPM closes out the weekend at 8:00, which is bassist Brian Bromberg, guitarist Paul Brown and saxophonist Michael Paulo playing together. The festival house band is Tom Zink, Roberto Vally, Tony Pulizzi and Joel Taylor.

Tickets and seating
Your ticket covers dinner, all of the performances, the Patrón tequila bar and an open bar. There are three seating areas, priced per person in US dollars plus a 15% service charge:
| Seating area | Non-members | Members |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant Area | $264 | $220 |
| Garden View Area | $294 | $245 |
| Pool Side Area | $330 | $275 |
Seating is limited, so if you have your heart set on Pool Side, we’d book soon. Reservations are on Punta Mita’s festival page.
Part of the proceeds goes to Fundación DINE Punta Mita, which funds education, healthcare and community programs for families in the town of Punta de Mita. We always like seeing an event like this put money back into the community just outside the gates.
What this says about living in Punta Mita
You may have noticed the member pricing. The lower rate is for Club Punta Mita members, and as we explain in Inside the Gates at Punta Mita, club membership is separate from your deed. Buying a home inside the gates doesn’t make you a member on its own, which is why it’s one of the first things we go over with any Punta Mita buyer.
When we show homes inside Punta Mita, buyers usually ask about the golf courses and beach clubs first. What they end up talking about after they move in, though, are evenings like this, when you can spend the morning on the beach or the course and then walk over to dinner and a Grammy winner playing by the water.
Not everyone is looking at that price point inside the gates, and you don’t have to be to enjoy it. Tickets are open to non-members, and Punta de Mita and Bucerías are both an easy drive for a night out. If you’re trying to figure out which part of the bay fits the way you want to live, our Punta Mita page is a good place to start, and it’s a conversation we always enjoy having.
